With more than 300 million users worldwide, UC Browser is one of the most popular browsers for mobile devices.

The Android version is close to reaching 5 million downloads on Google Play store, but the application is relatively new.

Nevertheless, UC Web, creator of UC Browser, is trying to offer the best experience for Android users as well. T

The latest update for UC Browser for Android adds lots of new features and improvements, such as a more powerful download function and URL input and homepage GUI optimizations.

The QR code scanning is another new feature included in this update, along with the possibility to pin webpages to home screen.

Developers also fixed a few bugs about Gmail and Facebook text boxes and an issue with the page display for Wikipedia and CNN. Last but not least, DNS has been optimized to improve the network connection speed.

UC Browser 8.5.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
