It looks like Research In Motions (RIM) has just released a new version of Twitter in BlackBerry Beta Zone. The application has been gifted with some new features requested by beta users.

CrackBerry reports that Twitter 4.0 for BlackBerry brings the following new features and improvements:

- Simplified NavBar; - Connect Tab with Interactions; - Discover Tab with Trends, Who To Follow and Browse Categories; - Me Tab with Direct Messages; - Attribution Tag Removal.

The application has yet to make it to BlackBerry World, formerly known as App World, but BlackBerry Beta Zone users will be able to download and install Twitter 4.0.

No word on when exactly a stable version of Twitter will land in BlackBerry World, but we will keep an eye out for this one, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
