Good news, Twitter addicts, as the developers have just announced that you can now add animated GIFs to your tweets. Twitter's move is quite interesting considering that tweeting high quality pictures may lead to awkward results sometime, but we will most likely see how the new feature works in the next couple of days.

It's unclear whether or not all Twitter users can now simply take advantage of the feature or it will be added in a future update, but one thing that's clear is the fact that the new feature is only available on Android, iOS and desktop version of Twitter.

Windows Phone users have been skipped once again from the rollout of an important feature, and it is not even clear whether it will land on the platform anytime soon.

This is not the first time it happens and it surely won't be the last. Many developers prefer to launch their apps on iOS and/or Android first, and only after a while, they take into consideration bringing it to Windows Phone.

The same goes for new features that are rolled out for apps that are available on all three major platforms – Windows Phone always gets it last.

Anyway, Android and iOS users, you can now try out the new feature on your devices. Also, share your impressions with us in the comments section.
