Minecraft enthusiasts all over the world, rejoice! Mojang, the game’s developer, has licensed its first wearable device, called the Gameband, which lets you take your virtual world wherever you go.

The Gameband is targeted specifically at kids, but that doesn't mean dad can’t have a go from time to time. The wrist band is made of silicone and contains 8GB of storage, cloud backup capabilities, and 140-LED digital display that can be customized to show whatever you want. Its clasp is made of stainless steel.

To get started, you will need to plug it into the computer’s USB port and run a quick setup wizard that configures the backup system. Then users will just have to launch the Minecraft game files that live on the wearable’s internal storage. Last but not least, you’ll have to log into your Mojang account in order to start playing.

The Gameband is compatible with Linux, Mac and Windows machines.

So if you want to make your little Minecraft fan happy, you should know that Gameband is currently available from the Microsoft Store and the company’s own official layer for just $79 / €74 a pop. However, keep in mind that that doesn’t include the Minecraft license if you don’t have one.
