The good folks at Stoic Studio have just confirmed that their PC smash hit The Banner Saga will be launched on mobile devices sometime this summer.

The game will be released in partnership with indie publisher Versus Evil and has been confirmed to arrive on tablets initially. There are no details yet on when exactly the game will be up for grabs in the app stores.

However, we do know that it will be launched on Android, iOS and Windows tablets. It's unclear whether or not they will be made available simultaneously, but we suspect that iOS fans will be among the first to enjoy Stoic’s amazing RPG title.

Here is what Steve Escalante, general manager of Versus Evil, had to say about the upcoming release of The Banners Saga on mobile devices: “Having The Banner Saga launch on tablets later this summer and launching localized language versions, has been quite an achievement for the Stoic team.

We’re in full support of their efforts and are working closely with the developers to bring the best experience to not only to our new international players, but our soon to be mobile players as well.”

We will keep an eye out for any additional details on the release of The Banner Saga and will update the news accordingly, so stay tuned.
