Test Photo Supposedly Confirms a 16MP Camera on AT&T’s Galaxy S5

The camera sample photo sports a 5312 x 2988 pixels resolution

Galaxy S5, the upcoming flagship Android-based smartphone from South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics, has been long rumored to arrive on shelves with a 16-megapixel camera on the back, and a newly spotted test photo from the device appears to confirm that.

Spotted on Flickr (via @evleaks), the camera sample comes from a Samsung SM-G900A model, which should arrive on shelves in the United States on the network of AT&T, and sports a resolution of 5312 x 2988 pixels.

This resolution is consistent with the one featured in previously spotted camera samples from the device, and suggests that the handset will feature a 16MP camera on the back, as mentioned above.

Of course, there’s no official confirmation on the image being shot with Galaxy S5, and we’ll take the info with a grain of salt for the time being. However, Samsung is set to make the phone official as soon as the next week, so stay tuned to learn more on it.
