Imangi Studios’ Temple Run 2 mobile game needed only 13 days to reach the first 50 million downloads on iOS, Android and Kindle devices, the publisher has announced on Thursday.

The game was launched on January 17 on iOS, and arrived in the Google Play Store on January 24, proving one of the most popular mobile titles out there very fast.

“Temple Run has evolved into something so much bigger than us,” Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi, said, according to BGR. “The game has performed beyond our wildest dreams, and we are thrilled that gamers and fans have embraced Temple Run 2 in such a short period of time.”

With 50 million downloads in 13 days, Temple Run 2 proves even more appealing than Rovio’s Angry Birds Space game, which reached this milestone in 35 days, Imangi Studios notes.

Temple Run 2 can be found on Softpedia on this page for Android and via this link for iOS.
