Australian carrier Telstra announced a while back that was working with HTC to deliver the long-awaited Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Sensation sometime in May.

However, it appears that HTC Sensation owners won’t be getting the promised update until next month. Unfortunately, ICS for the Sensation did not pass testing trials, which means HTC will need to identify and correct the issue discovered.

According to Telstra, “issues identified in testing” is the main reason for this delay, but Sensation owners have been reassured that “HTC is working on a resolution.”

For the time being, the Australian carrier mentions that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for HTC Sensation is now expected to arrive in June. No exact release date has been disclosed yet, so stay tuned for more info on the subject.
