Good news Tekken fans, as Namco Bandai has just released the game on Android platform. Unfortunately, you’re probably not going to like it, as the developers have replaced the old-school beat’em up with a card game.

Tekken Card Tournament is a cross-platform free-to-play card game that can be played on smartphones, tablets and browsers.

According to the developers, the release of the Android game will be soon followed by the launch of the physical Tekken Card Tournament in early summer 2013.

This one will come with more than 190 collectible cards featuring Augmented Reality and unique QR code functionality, which will allow players to add any of them to their virtual collection.

Tekken Card Tournament 1.009 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
