Although Twitter’s client is pretty popular among Android users, there are some who prefer third-party clients. This is where Talon for Twitter comes in, a third-party client that offers lots of features that the original Twitter client doesn’t.

And if that’s not enough to make you curious, then know that Talon for Twitter has just been bumped to version 2.0.0, which includes hundreds of new features, improvements, and bug fixes.

Every feature present in the previous version has been improved in the new iteration. For example, animations, widgets, photo viewer Talon Pull, and scrolling have been greatly enhanced to offer a smoother experience.

In Talon for Twitter 2.0.0 there’s a new Discover tab in the drawer for trends, suggested users, and nearby tweets. Picture pages now show up on a user’s profile and two new transparent widget themes have been added.

You can also view users’ mentions and favorites on their profiles, and a new option to manually select location for local trends has been added as well. For the full list of new features and improvements included in this update check out the official changelog.

You can now download Talon for Twitter 2.0.0 for free via Google Play Store. According to the developer, the application should work on any device powered by Android 4.0 and up.
