It is now pushed through OTA (over the air), in stages

Samsung Canada officially confirmed the Galaxy Note II will receive an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean upgrade “in the next week.”

However, it looks like Canadian carrier TELUS made it official a bit earlier. As seen in the screenshot above, an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is now available for Galaxy Note II units from TELUS.

Keep in mind that the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, which means not all Samsung Galaxy Note II owners will receive it at the same time.

According to TELUS, this minor update is in fact a security patch. There are no mentions of the Multi Window new feature, which makes us believe this update addresses the Exynos chipset exploit discovered a few weeks ago.

We expect more Canadian carriers to go live with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy Note II, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
