Although TELUS initially promised the hotly anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for HTC Amaze 4G would be available beginning May 28, the Canadian carrier pushed back the release with a few days.

TELUS seems to have found some minor issues in the build and needed extra time to prepare the delivery of the update.

Anyway, according to MobileSyrup, the Android 4.0 ICS is now available for download to all HTC Amaze 4G owners.

The update seems to have around 323MB in size and can be downloaded OTA (over the air). To manually check for the update simply go to Settings / About phone / System software updates and hit Check now.

Aside from bringing the software to version 4.0, the update will also upgrade HTC Sensation user interface to 3.6.
