Canadian carrier TELUS has already confirmed the long-awaited Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for LG Optimus LTE will be available beginning August 7.

However, the folks over at MobileSyrup have just spotted the smartphone running Android 4.0.4 ICS, several weeks before the official release of the update.

LG Optimus LTE was among the first smartphones launched by TELUS to offer LTE support. The device is still stuck on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but LG promised that the handset would get an Ice Cream Sandwich update eventually.

While TELUS already set the release date for this upgrade, Bell Canada has yet to announce an official launch date for the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Optimus LTE. For the time being, we only know that Bell plans to roll out the update in August, so stay tune for more info on the matter.
