TELUS is the second Canadian carrier to open up pre-registrations for BlackBerry Q10 smartphones, after Rogers.

Although this doesn’t mean the device will soon be available for purchase, at least it will keep the hype raised until the smartphone arrives.

For the time being, BlackBerry Q10 is slated for an April/May release in Canada, while the US will get it in May/June. Canadians who wish to receive the latest info on BlackBerry Q10’s availability can register here.

The Q10 is the first BlackBerry 10 device to feature both touchscreen display and physical QWERTY keyboard. The handset is powered by a dual-core TI OMAP 4470 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, a PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

It also sports an unusual 3.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports 720 x 720 pixels resolution. More details on the phone are available here.
