The update is being delivered via the Samsung Kies application

Owners of a Samsung Galaxy S II X smartphone on the network of Canadian mobile phone carrier TELUS can now download and install a new operating system version on their devices, namely Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Samsung Mobile Canada has already posted info on the matter on Twitter, noting that “GALAXY S II X owners with @TELUS can begin upgrading to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.2) via Samsung Kies starting today.”

Moreover, MobileSyrup notes that users have already started to report successful updates, which confirms that the update deployment is underway.

Android 4.1.2 arrives on devices with various performance improvements, a better camera experience, Google Now, enhancements to the soft keyboard, and various other new features as well.

The new software should be rolled out to all Galaxy S II X smartphones at TELUS soon.
