Canadian mobile phone carrier TELUS is expected to add a new LG smartphone to its offering in the near future.

However, this is not an ordinary smartphone, and an Android-based LTE-capable device, none other than the LG Optimus LTE that was spotted on LG’s website recently.

The wireless carrier is confirmed to have the handset available for its customers in the very near future, though specific info on when that might happen has yet to emerge.

For the time being, however, TELUS customers interested in the purchase of an LTE device should rest assured that the 4G-capable Optimus is headed their way soon.

All of the specific details on the handset’s release date and pricing should emerge in the coming days or weeks, so keep an eye on this space for more.
