Mobile phone users in China will be happy to learn that Galaxy S5, the latest flagship Android-based handset from the South Korean vendor Samsung has already received the necessary approvals in the country with TD-LTE connectivity capabilities packed inside.

The handset has emerged at TENAA with model number SM-G9006V attached to it, different from the SM-G9008V version that is expected to make an appearance in the country on the network of wireless carrier China Mobile.

The newly certified Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G9006V comes with the same looks and specs as the regular Samsung Galaxy S5, but offers support for WCDMA networks in the country, as GSMInsider notes.

Thus, users who will purchase it will enjoy a 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, and 2GB of RAM inside it.

Moreover, the handset packs 16GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, and a 16-megapixel camera on the back, with 4K video recording capabilities.

Samsung Galaxy S5 also features a 2MP front camera for video calling, support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and the usual set of sensors, while being powered by a 2,800mAh battery.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S5 with Google’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat platform right from the start, as well as with its own set of customizations and exclusive applications loaded on top.
