T-Mobile is the third major carrier in the United States that releases the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5, after Sprint and Verizon.

According to TmoNews, the update is now pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, which means that it will take some time until it reaches all Galaxy S5 devices.

The update is about 900MB in size and it might take between 20 and 30 minutes until it installs on the Galaxy S5. Make sure that your phone's battery is at least 50% charged before attempting to upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

If the update doesn't show up on your Galaxy S5, then you might want to try forcing it through Samsung Kies desktop software. If it's not yet available, then you will have to wait a few days until it gets pushed to your smartphone.

If you're lucky and the update shows up on your phone, make sure that you check the software version and firmware build number after applying the upgrade. It should show Android 5.0 Lollipop and build number G900TUVU1DOB1.

Keep in mind that once applied the update, you won't be able to downgrade to a previous version of Android unless your root your Samsung Galaxy S5.
