On Friday, wireless carrier T-Mobile will make the Apple iPhone 5 available for purchase on its network, after it had made it available for pre-order last week, and it appears to be already seeing high demand for the device.

Andrew Sherrard, senior vice president of marketing, and David Carey, executive vice president for corporate services, have already confirmed to CNet that there had been increased interest in the device ever since the pre-registration period kicked off, but did not provide a specific figure to back that up.

However, a post on TmoNews unveils that over 250,000 users registered early for the new device, based on an allegedly leaked document from the carrier, which also unveiled that 80 percent of these people were existing T-Mobile customers.

While these do not show the actual number of pre-orders, the news site claims that almost all those who pre-registered also reserved the iPhone 5 to receive it when it becomes available.
