Fablet 3 and Fablet 2 ship with free black, white or blue back covers

Indian carrier Swipe Telecom has just announced the immediate availability of two new affordable Android smartphones, Fablet F2 and Fablet 3.

As their names suggest, both are positioned in the “phablet” category and come with 5-inch capacitive touchscreen displays and Android platform.

However, the Fablet F2 will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system out of the box, whereas the Fablet F3 is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform.

Customers in India can now purchase the Fablet 2 for only Rs 7,590 outright, which is about $140 or €105. Given the fact that it comes with Jelly Bean onboard, the Fabelt F3 is priced at Rs 9,290 ($170/ €130).

According to FoneArena, both smartphones are equipped with 1GHz processors, but the F3 sports a dual-core CPU, while the F2 embeds a single core CPU.

Furthermore, they feature 5-megapixel rear photo snappers, secondary VGA front-facing cameras for video calls and dual-SIM capability.
