A few days before being officially unveiled, Samsung’s new GALAXY S 4 smartphone was rumored to be on its way to shelves with SwiftKey’s prediction technology packed inside, and confirmation on the matter has emerged.

SwiftKey themselves confirmed this to Engadget, explaining that the device doesn’t feature the full SwiftKey application, but only the underlying technology.

“Following our great success with the SwiftKey 4 launch last month, we are excited to confirm that Samsung has chosen SwiftKey's innovative keyboard technology to be at the heart of its flagship smartphone, the GALAXY S 4,” Ben Medlock, co-founder and CTO of SwiftKey, said.

One way or the other, the new Android-based flagship handset from Samsung should be able to provide users with a highly appealing touchscreen typing experience while on the go when it becomes available for purchase in late April.
