Mobile payment is one of the easiest way to make a transaction these days, but the method has yet to become widely spread.

Fortunately, Canadians who purchase their favorite drinks from Starbuck will be happy to know that the company has just updated its iOS application with the Mobile Payment feature.

Starting today, all Starbucks Canada customers who own a compatible iOS device will be able to use mobile payment by simply updating their mobile application.

Aside Mobile Payment feature, the latest version of the application add support for iOS5, introduces My Starbucks rewards and passcode protection.

According to Starbucks, customers who own Android or BlackBerry smartphone will be able to take advantage of these new features “in the coming months.”

Starbucks Canada 2.1 is available as a free download in the App Store and is fully compatible with any device that runs iOS 4.0 or later.
