Following the success of the recently released Hitman GO on both Android and iOS platforms, Square Enix Montreal has decided to throw fans of the franchise another challenge in the form of a new game.

Hitman: Sniper has just been confirmed to arrive on Android and iOS, though an exact release date has yet to be unveiled. However, developers have promised to share more details on the game’s availability on June 12.

The upcoming title is said to be a “completely new Hitman game,” which has been designed to be a massively competitive sniping game just like the Sniper Challenge in Hitman Absolution.

Here is what the developers have to say about Hitman: Sniper: “you’ll need to have your wits about you to complete scenario-driven contracts that contain a number of targets and assignments.

Each one is designed to have a high level of replayability, not only to fine-tune your approach but to explore creative alternatives and to achieve the ultimate score on the leaderboards.”

Even though Square Enix did not announce when exactly the game will be available for download on Android and iOS platforms, the company did say that it would be launched “later this year.” Here is hoping that will be sooner rather than later.
