Wireless carrier Sprint is the only top operator in the United States to have missed the launch of Windows Phone 8 devices in the fourth quarter of the last year, but it seems that this might change soon.

A new support page on the carrier’s website mentions Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system flavor as coming soon, although no other details on the matter have been provided as of now.

Previously, Sprint was rumored to plan the launch of Windows Phone 8 handsets before the end of 2012, but that did not happen, to users’ disappointment.

However, chances are that the carrier is finally ready to bring such smartphones to its network, and that an announcement will be made sooner rather than later, just as WPCentral suggests. Stay tuned to learn more on when these devices will be released at Sprint.
