Samsung’s Galaxy S4 smartphone was set to arrive on shelves at Sprint in the US as soon as Saturday, April 27, but it seems that it will be released a bit later, the wireless carrier has confirmed.

According to a recent article on AllThingsD, Sprint made an official announcement on the matter, unveiling that its users will have to wait longer for the handset’s arrival, due to a series of stock issues.

“We had planned to launch this next generation of the award-winning Samsung Galaxy line-up on Saturday, April 27. Unfortunately, due to unexpected inventory challenges from Samsung, we will be slightly delayed with our full product launch,” Sprint reportedly said.

The carrier is still planning on making the device available through its website at the end of this week, though store availability will occur at a later date.
