US-based carrier Sprint has just launched a new push-to-talk handset, the Sonim XP Strike. Aside from its push-to-talk capabilities, the Sonim XP Strike offers toughness beyond Military Specifications.

In fact, Sprint claims that this is the toughest push-to-talk handset in its portfolio, so customers can rest easy as the Sonim XP Strike can withstand drops from 6.5 feet, or be submerged in up to 6.5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.

Furthermore, the ultra-rugged Sonim XP Strike offers extra-long battery life, as well as protection from dust and water. It’s also resistant to petroleum, extreme pressure and temperatures.

According to Sprint, the handset has international coverage in Latin American countries, where the push-to-talk technology is used frequently.

Sonim XP Strike is now available for purchase via Sprint for only $130/€100 with new two-year agreements and after a $50/€40 mail-in rebate via reward card.
