Sony Mobile has long been rumored to plan the release of a Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone before the end of this year, and new images with the phone are available for your viewing pleasure, this time showing it next to a Galaxy Note handset.

The smartphone clearly sports a different design when compared to the current series of Xperia Z handsets out there, and is also as tall as the original Galaxy Note is, which suggests that it could be nothing else than the aforementioned Xperia Z3.

The new photos with the device emerge online courtesy of XperiaBlog only one day after the phone was seen in a series of leaked images that showed it from almost all angles.

The phone should arrive on shelves with more rounded edges when compared to the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2, while featuring a series of other design changes as well.

Rumor has it that Sony Mobile would make the Xperia Z3 official in September during the IFA 2014 show in Berlin, with a Snapdragon 801 processor inside, 3GB of RAM, and a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, similar to the sensor present on its predecessors.

No official confirmation on the specs of this device has been provided as of now, but it won’t be long before all the necessary details on it are revealed. After all, Sony did suggest before that a new flagship smartphone would be coming around six months after the Xperia Z2.
