Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile is getting ready to release a new smartphone as soon as tomorrow, July 8, and the company has already started to tease it online.

In a teaser photo published on Twitter, the handset vendor claims that the upcoming device will provide you with the possibility to “See your #selfies in a whole new light.”

Sony has already been rumored to plan on launching a new smartphone focused on “selfies,” and the aforementioned teaser appears to confirm that.

As XperiaBlog notes in a recent post, the device might be able to allow users to take clear selfies even in low-light conditions. In fact, the teaser photo also appears to have been taken at dusk.

The new smartphone should arrive on shelves with flash on the front and might also pack a series of software enhancements, though it remains to be seen what these will be.

The one thing that is certain at the moment, however, is the fact that Sony too is set to follow the latest trend on the mobile industry and to provide users with the possibility to snap better selfies with the front camera on their devices.

Apparently, XperiaBlog also managed to bump into a leaked image with said selfie phone (on weibo), which indeed shows a flash next to the front camera, as can be seen below. The phone is also said to include a 2500mAh battery and to be called Xperia C3.

The same as the rest of Sony's Xperia phones, the new product should run under Android. More on the new handset will become official as soon as tomorrow, so stay tuned.
