Sony’s Xperia ion smartphone is set to arrive on shelves at Rogers in Canada in the near future, and it seems that it might be an exclusive to this wireless carrier.

Rogers has announced plans to carry the smartphone last week, but it did not offer specific info on the launch.

However, a leaked internal document that emerged over at MobileSyrup shows that the LTE-capable smartphone might indeed be released in the country only on the network of this operator.

The smartphone is expected to land in Canada sometime in July, and will be made available both through Roger’s own sales channels, as well as via third-party retailers.

Unfortunately, info on the phone’s price is not available now, nor details on the launch date or the length of the exclusivity period. More should emerge as the release day approaches, so stay tuned.
