Today, Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile made official a new smartphone in the Xperia lineup, in the form of Xperia ZR.

However, it seems that users in the UK won’t get the chance to purchase the device in the country, at least not through Sony’s official channels.

The info comes from the popular online retailer Clove and is backed by an XperiaBlog report, which claims that France and Germany won’t receive the device either

“We can however confirm that there are no plans for the ZR to arrive in the UK, so if you think this is the device for you then you need to source elsewhere or opt for the Xperia Z instead,” a post on Clove’s blog reads.

Sony Xperia ZR was announced with a 4.55-inch TFT screen, 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of memory, microSD card slot, a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a front camera for making video calls.
