The smartphone is expected to hit shelves on April 22

Sony fans in Brazil rejoice, as Xperia ZL is now available for pre-order. The Japanese handset maker decided to launch the smartphone as Xperia ZQ in Brazil, but the device supports LTE bands available in the United States.

Customers can pre-purchase the Xperia ZQ for £670 / €790 / $1,028 outright. Check it out here. According to XperiaBlog, the smartphone will go on sale on April 22.

As expected, Xperia ZQ will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system onboard, but Sony has confirmed that an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean upgrade will be available for download at some point this year.

The smartphone comes equipped with a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

It also sports a 5-inch full HD Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2370 mAh Li-Ion battery.
