Japanese mobile phone maker Sony has started to push out a new software update for the owners of Sony Xperia ZL (C6503) smartphones in Europe, recent reports claim.

The software release was already available for the device in some countries around the world, including the HSPA+-enabled C6502 model and for the North American C6506 variant, XperiaBlog notes.

Today, however, the update is available for the owners of Xperia ZL (C6503) in Germany too, and should arrive on smartphones in other European countries as well in the not too distant future.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the new software brings along a series of improvements for the handset’s battery life, as well as various performance enhancements, and a series of changes to the user interface. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
