Sony Xperia Z3, the upcoming flagship Android-based smartphone that Japanese handset vendor Sony Mobile is expected to make official in September this year, might have just made an appearance in the AnTuTu benchmark, where it managed to top 37,000 points.

A listing for a certain Sony D6653 handset emerged in the AnTuTu database, and this device could be none other than the aforementioned Xperia Z3, as GSMInsider notes.

Sony already revealed plans to make public a new flagship smartphone every six months, and the release of Xperia Z3 in fall would fall in line with this commitment.

However, no official confirmation on the device has been provided as of now, despite the fact that it made it to the headlines quite a few times before.

Over the weekend, the device was spotted in AnTuTu with a quad-core Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor inside, as well as with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system loaded on top.

Previously, the handset was said to arrive on shelves with a full HD touchscreen display, most probably one that will measure 5.3-inch, as well as with 3GB of RAM and a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, the same as its predecessor.

For the time being, we’ll take the info above with a grain of salt, but more on this might emerge soon, so stay tuned to learn the news.
