Canadian mobile phone users can now purchase a new flagship Android-based smartphone from Sony in their country, namely the Xperia Z1.

The device has become available for purchase in Canada on the networks of wireless carriers such as Bell, Rogers, and TELUS, but it can also be purchased through Sony’s own website.

The mobile phone is available on monthly contracts with a price tag starting at $199 (€141), but it can also be bought contract-free, for up to $725 (€516).

As MobileSyrup notes, only the Black version of the Android 4.2-based device is currently available through the aforementioned three wireless carriers.

Xperia Z1 arrives on shelves with a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display, a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB of RAM. Furthermore, it features a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, as well as a 3000mAh battery inside.
