Sony’s new Xperia Z1 has yet to arrive on the market, but users can already download firmware version 14.1.G.1.526 for it.

Apparently, this is the latest software version released for the device, and is compatible with the C6902 / L39h HSPA+ models. The firmware comes from XDA-Developers forum member macallen, who claims to have extracted it from EMMA.

According to XperiaGuide, this means that users can install the software on an Xperia Z1 via the Sony PC Companion application. However, it will work only on devices that run under firmware 14.1.G.1.518.

The FTF file can also be flashed to the Xperia Z1 via FlashTool 0.9.11.1, which received support for the device only recently.

Xperia Z1 will arrive on the market later this month packing a 5-inch full HD screen, a Snapdragon 800 processor and a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back.
