No major changes have been included, so it's just a bug fixing update

Sony has just released a new update for its recently launched Xperia Z1 Compact. The smartphone is not yet available in the countries where the Japanese handset maker has confirmed that it will introduce it, and the device has already received a few updates.

Obviously, this is not a bad thing, especially if these updates are meant to add new features and improvements, or simply fix some issues that haven't been uncovered until after the launch of the device.

Today, XperiaBlog reports that Xperia Z1 Compact is receiving a new update that will bump the firmware to version 14.2.A.1.142.

According to the cited source, there are no major changes included in this update, but Xperia Z1 Compact owners should expect at least some issues to be addressed.

Unfortunately, given the fact that there's no changelog available, we can't say for sure which bugs have been addressed and which have been left for fixing in future updates.
