Sony Mobile has just confirmed that the Xperia Z1 Compact will arrive in Hong Kong sometime in late April. The smartphone will be available for purchase in white, black, green and pink colors.
According to XperiaBlog, Sony Mobile did not announce the suggested retail price of the Xperia Z1 Compact in Hong Kong, but we expect more details to emerge in the coming weeks.
The Xperia Z2 Compact will ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but Sony has already stated that the smartphone will receive an upgrade to Android 4.4.2 KitKat soon.
For those unfamiliar with the phone's specs sheet, here is a quick recap. Sony Xperia Z1 Compact sports a 4.3-inch HD (720p) IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that features shatter proof and scratch-resistant glass.
The smartphone is IP58 certified, which makes it dust and water proof. It comes equipped with a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Another strong point of the Xperia Z1 Compact would be the 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.
On a side note, Sony fans in Hong Kong will be able to pick up the Xperia T2 Ultra as well, which is set to be released in mid-April.
