One of the hottest Android smartphones these days, Sony Xperia Z is expected to go on sale globally within the next few weeks.

China is one of the most important markets for Sony, which is why the Japanese company plans to introduce its flagship device in the Mainland as soon as possible.

According to XperiaBlog, Sony China has just confirmed on its official Weibo page the Xperia Z will be available for purchase for around 5,000 Yuan outright, which is about $805 or €595.

Unfortunately, there are no details on the phone’s exact release date, though we do know the handset maker has two press events scheduled for the second half of February.

The first event will be held in Hong Kong on February 18, while the second will take place in Taipei on February 21. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
