Vodafone is yet another wireless carrier in the UK to have confirmed the upcoming availability of Sony’s new Xperia Z flagship Android device on its network.

Unveiled not long ago at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the smartphone is set to hit shelves at Vodafone as soon as it is made available in the country, the wireless carrier announced.

Only 7.9mm thick, the smartphone features a 5-inch 1080p screen, a quad-core processor inside, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, and the usual set of connectivity capabilities and sensors.

It also packs a 13-megapixel back camera (with full HD video recording), front camera for making video calls, and Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform on top (though it will be upgraded to Android 4.2 soon after launch).
