The handset has already been approved for the country

Sony’s Xperia V LT25c smartphone has already received the necessary approvals for launch in China, and more info on it is now available, courtesy of a User Agent Profile.

The smartphone can be seen in said UAProf with CDMA2000/GSM connectivity packed inside, and is said to be en-route to China Telecom’s network in the country.

Packing a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon CPU and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, the new device will hit shelves with the same design as Xperia VL SOL21 for Japan’s KDDI, Blog of Mobile reports.

No specific info on when the mobile phone will arrive on shelves at the wireless carrier has emerged so far, but it might not be too long before an official announcement is made.

The smartphone is expected to pack the same hardware specs as the international version.
