Good news for AT&T customers who own the Sony Xperia TL as the Japanese handset maker has just started the rollout of the long-awaited Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.

As XDA Forum member hulkdad points out, the upgrade is only available via PC Companion so those hoping this will be an OTA (over the air) push will probably be disappointed.

All in all, the update brings lots of new features to Xperia TL, including Extended Battery mode, Google Wallet and more.

According to reports coming from users who flashed the update, their devices are not snappier and the UI smoother than before.

The phone’s main camera has been gifted with built-in HDR capabilities and improvements to the Wi-Fi connectivity have been added as well. More details on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Xperia TL are available here.
