Word is that the single-SIM version of Sony Xperia T2 Ultra will make its debut in the United States next month. The smartphone will not be available only through Sony’s official store, but it will be carried by T-Mobile as well.

According to TmoNews, the Xperia T2 Ultra will make its debut at T-Mobile on July 23 or around that date. Unfortunately, no details on the phone’s price tag have been leaked, and the carrier has yet to confirm the exact release date.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra usually ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but the Japanese company has already confirmed that it will offer an Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade next month.

This is why we suspect that T-Mobile customers may be able to pick this one up with Android 4.4.2 KitKat platform onboard. However, this hasn’t been confirmed yet, so take it with a grain of salt.

In the same piece of news, the Xperia T2 Ultra is a mid-range smartphone equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

The smartphone also sports a huge 6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, as well as an impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.
