No word on whether or not the dual-SIM version will be released as well

Sony took us by surprise with the Xperia T2 Ultra announcement, as we were expecting the Japanese company to launch its next devices at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 trade fair in late February.

The Xperia T2 Ultra is an affordable tablet, which will be available in two versions, single and dual SIM. The latter is aimed at emerging markets, such as India, China and other countries in the region, while the single-SIM version will be available in more developed countries.

Gizbot has it from a reliable source that Sony Xperia T2 Ultra will be officially introduced in India by the end of March. The information is related to the single-SIM variant, though it’s highly unlikely for Sony not to bring the dual-SIM variant in India as well.

No word on pricing options and exact release date, but we know it’s going to cost a lot less than the standard Sony Xperia Z Ultra phablet.
