14 DAY TRIAL // Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile is preparing the release of the Android 4.4 KitKat software update for the owners of Xperia SP smartphones out there, and has already hinted at that on its support website.
Those who will head over to the Xperia SP support page will see Android 4.4 KitKat listed as the next OS flavor of the device, which leaves little room for interpretation, as XperiaBlog notes.
However, the same cannot be said about handsets such as Xperia ZR, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V. Sony says that the release of an update for them is currently under investigation.
Hopefully, the company will decide in the end to deliver the new platform version to more of its users, though it remains to be seen whether that is indeed a possibility or not. Stay tuned for more on this.
