At the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Sony unveiled two new Xperia devices, including the Xperia S, which was awarded a CES Hot Stuff Award.

A variety of high-end, highly appealing smartphones made an appearance at the show, but Sony Xperia S seems to be the hottest of them all. The handset made it to the CES Hot Stuff Award list along with other gadgets, laptops and strange devices.

Packing a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display and a fast 1.5GHz dual-core application processor, it should arrive on shelves in the coming months. Wireless carriers around the world have already announced plans to add it to their offerings.

The smartphone also sports a 12-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, as well as NFC capabilities, 3G, WiFi, and 32GB of internal memory.
