Last week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Sony unveiled to the world two new handsets in the Xperia series, including the Xperia S smartphone that features a high-quality 12MP camera on the back.

The new mobile phone was designed to offer great camera capabilities to its users, including support for 1080p video recording.

The first video samples that provide us with a glimpse at what the handset can deliver in terms of camera capabilities have emerged on the Internet, and you can see one embedded above and another one below.

The new mobile phone comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core application processor inside, with Adreno 220 graphics.

It also features 32GB of internal memory, a front camera for video calling, and Google’s Android 2.3.7 OS to power them all. The Sony Xperia S will arrive in the UK in the coming weeks.
