The update is aimed at those who use the Arabic language

Good news for Sony Xperia J owners who use the Arabic language, as the Japanese handset maker has just kicked off the rollout of a small update for their devices.

According to XperiaBlog, the upgrade bumps the firmware build to version 11.2.A.0.33 and addresses an issue in the Arabic language that has been tagged as “flipped words.”

It appears that the update was deployed in Egypt first, but other countries in the region are likely to receive it in the next few days.

It has been confirmed via XDA Forum member ImAnurag that the firmware is pushed OTA (over-the-air), so owners of Sony Xperia J should wait until they are automatically notified on the availability.

Aside from the correction of the bug mentioned earlier, the update seems to include a few improvements as well, which make the smartphone’s UI a bit more responsive. It requires 50MB of free RAM in order to be successfully installed.
