Sony Xperia E4g will start selling in April

Earlier this month, Sony pushed out a very affordable handset called the Xperia E4. The device’s major selling point is that it promises a 2-day battery life which is sort of impressive.

Well, a few days after this particular handset made it into the wild, Sony is pushing out its LTE variant which is going to be marketed as the Xperia E4g. Not extremely subtle.

The Xperia E4g is very similar to the Xperia E4 we saw arrive not so long ago. For starters, the LTE model relies on a quad-core MediaTek MT6732 chip clocked at 1.5GHz, while the standard version bundles a Mediatek MT6582 clocked at 1.3GHz.

Another difference is the display size. The original takes advantage of a 5-inch display with 540 x 960 pixel res, while the LTE arrival has a 4.7-inch screen with the same resolution.

Naturally, dimensions differ too, and we have the Xperia E4g coming in at 133 x 71 x 10.8 mm / 137 x 74.6 x 10.55 mm instead of the 137 x 74.6 x 10.5 mm / 5.3 x 2.9 x 0.41 inches for the Xperia E4.

Like the Xperia E4, the Xperia E4g won’t arrive in the US and will probably be offered in Europe and other territories starting April, with a price tag of around €129 / €145. The smartphone will also have a dual-SIM version.
