Sony appears to be nearing the launch of a new series of Xperia devices, just as some of the latest reports on the matter have suggested.

One of the devices that will be included in the company’s future roadmap is said to be Sony Xperia E (previously seen with model number C1505 attached to it), which has just been spotted in AnTuTu.

The handset was seen there with a 1GHz processor inside, while running under Google’s Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The phone might hit shelves as a low-cost, entry-level Android smartphone.

The handset is also said to sport a HVGA (320x480) screen, and might become official in the beginning of the next year, when Sony is also expected to announce a nice range of high-end devices in its Xperia lineup.
