It’s still Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but it brings some bug fixes

The dual-SIM Xperia C was launched on the market last summer with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system onboard and hasn’t received any updates ever since.

Today, XperiaBlog reports that Sony has just pushed the first software update for the Xperia C. The new firmware version 16.0.B.2.6 is rolled out OTA (over the air) to all Xperia C devices across the globe.

This seems to be only a small upgrade from the previous 16.0.B.0.21 version that was included on the smartphone by default.

Unfortunately, there’s no telling what new features the update brings, as Sony has yet to release an official changelog (it probably never will).

However, we expect the update to contain a fair share of bug fixes and probably some minor overall improvements and tweaks. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
